watch out putting cross racks and roof racks on sunroof equipped cars

heard from a dealer that there are racks that arent high enough and the sunroof will hit it, and bend the track and will leak. and will cost big to fix.

I have a set of Whispbar Flushbar racks installed with a sunroof. They are NOT high enough for the sunroof to pass under if installed without slight modification. However, if you cut a piece of 1/4" silicone mat (or similar material) to fit under the base of the rear bar, the sunroof clears just fine. If you hear any rattling, you can stick a piece of padding under the bars where the sunroof has the least amount of clearance. I used the soft side of some heavy duty velcro. This has worked perfectly for over 140k miles with lots of sunroof use over the summer.
