Hi all,
I just took my beetle to the shop for a general inspection, and they said I had a warped flywheel or pressure plate based on "clutch petal pulsation on initial engagement."
I had no clue what they were talking about because everything had felt normal to me. Then afterward, I got into the car and slowly let out the clutch. There is pulsation, but it's high frequency. To me it feels like it's just the engine transmitting its vibration through the clutch into the pedal. I replaced the DMF with a SMF a couple years ago, so maybe they're used to the DMF absorbing some of that vibration?
Is it normal for the clutch pedal to pulsate/vibrate as it is engaging?
