Wanted a TDI mechanic near Waynesville NC

I just picked up an 03 Beetle TDI 1.9 with 151,000 miles on it, that I would like to have checked over by someone close to my area who knows TDIs. Within 30 mins or so would be fine, Asheville is ok but closer if someone is well versed would be great.
I just drove it home and rides nice but no record of water pump service and go through the car up in the air.....

I think I've driven by his place. I bought the car in Asheville but I don't think this owner used him for service. ( Have to check the few recent receipts.) Any suggestions on some basics to get done buying an older '03 TDI Beetle? Things to have checked over?

Just a tip... There is a ton of information on this site you can search for regarding what to look for and how to do it yourself if you inclined to do so. Otherwise ask specific questions, “like how do I... “ and you will get better responses.

Also Daniel at Appalachian is great but can be very hard to get ahold of because of how in demand he is, just keep trying.
