Wagon rear shock Question..

I received my struts and shocks today, went with the wagon rears for a little extra height on my Golf.

I open the box and find the shock, and what appears to be a spacer/washer of some sort but I have no idea if I need it? Or where it goes.





Any input?

If that's a 10mm spacer, it goes on the front (Although I wouldn't bother with it).

It definitely doesn't go on the rears.

Its only about 2mm. Fits on the shock shaft perfectly, but doesn't go into the bore of the mount, therefore preventing the threaded part of the shaft from protruding out of the mount far enough to get the nut on.

The washer came in each box with each shock. Not from the strut.

Maybe it is something for the jetta wagon?

Are you using longer springs or a spring spacer?
