VW wants to emissions test my Golf - even though I own an A3

You know how people say that an Audi is just an overpriced VW. I'm sure that Audi/VW would deny this but that didn't stop VW from sending me a letter inviting me to have my 2013 Golf tested for some kind of emissions longevity.

Pretty amusing in all. I'm inclined to let them do their test though one of the things I'm getting as a benefit for participating is my car returned with a full tank of diesel. I don't want to have them fill the tank because they obviously won't put Stanadyne in there. Maybe what I'll do is just fill up before I give them and maybe dose a bit extra, figuring they will dilute it when they top off after their dyno testing.

None, Did the buyback
I would not let them touch my car. Especially somebody running it on a dyno without me being there. Who know what abuse they could put it through on the dyno.

I'm not especially worried about that, for one thing my car is already >20k miles so a large part of my break-in is done and I figure even if they thrash it on the dyno it will just help seat my piston rings a bit more.
I actually let AEM use my old car (Mazda3) as a test mule to develop the Cold Air Intake for that model. They ended up dynoing the heck out of it when I was under 3000 miles (at least 10 runs) and that car is at almost 115k and I've never had a lick of trouble from the engine.

Give it to them empty. Running a tank w/o your additive won't kill it. Besides, if anyone took your car, broke it, and could be expected to make good and return it fixed, it is the factory. Egg on their face for that type screw-up is too visible.

Go ahead and let them test it.

I own my car...and do not even need it during the week. They would have to pay me more than a 250.00 check + rental in order to have my car for a possible 10 working days.

This is really weird, but it's definitely interesting. I'd like to see what they end up doing if you decide to go through with it
