I filled out the application online - twice - and haven't received any sort of confirmation email as the site showed when I completed the forms. Have any of you guys who've signed up received confirmation emails or other info after the fact?
Received a confirmation with a code almost instantly.

Check your junk.

You also have to make sure your address, info matches the info that VW Canada has for you if you a financing or leasing.

Just as I expected. Another LIE from volkswagen. I signed up on the 9th also, and the conformation e-mail said you should receive it within 4 weeks??? My 4 weeks was up today...
I signed up on the 10th, #33666, and the cards arrived yesterday.

No doubt, they've listed you as a troublemaker and are delaying the arrival of your cards on purpose.

The wife got a confirmation almost right away after registering, kinda pissed me off that she went for it before I had a chance to scream to somebody at VW head office for the ripoff.

What happens if I take the goodwill from VW, then they offer a depreciation refund as well? Do you think if I take the $1000, they will say you are SOL, because you already took the monies? I am a little confused on that, reports seem to state they are going to be giving more back because of loss of value?

$1300 in repairs in Nov 2015. Today throttle control error ~$700! How much should I be throwing into this sinking ship while I wait for the [insufficient, insincere] gesture?

Very odd, just resubmitted everything and received the email right away. Must've been something on their end on December 7 when the site went live.

I was a very happy camper this afternoon when I got home and saw that my package had arrived.
Now there is another hurdle to overcome - getting them activated. I stopped by the dealer this morning, and I was told the activation server is down. It is now 5:13 PM, and I haven't heard from the dealer whether they were able to activate them or not.

Has anyone gotten the dealer (white) prepaid card to work online? Trying to buy parts from a dealer's online parts department and it rejects the card.

I actually mentioned this potential problem a couple of days ago:

Also, you may have to call them to place the order. I doubt that their e-commerce systems will/can accept the cards online. Just something I was thinking about the other day. I could be wrong about that though.

I was going to take them after work tomorrow to my dealer and hopefully everything is ok by then.

I got mine today and went by the dealer to activate. The gentleman told me that he himself would call me when they were activated, at this time they were having trouble with too much traffic on the vw server. He told me a guy yesterday was emailed that the cards were activated before he called him. He acted like it would be within a few hours... I'm just thankful.

Went to my dealer last night around 6:30 pm. Had my cards activated and was out the door in 10min. Maybe people will have better luck later in the day.

Even had a salesmen who knew I had a tdi try and get me to trade it for a new gti. Also the sales manager told me I've lost about 1k value due to dieselgate. I should of got a trade quote while I was there to see how full of crap he was lol.

At least your dealer wanted your trade, LOL. My dealer informed me yesterday when I went to get my cards activated that unless it was a lease turn-in they wouldn't even take a TDI in on trade.

I surely hope VW will send more money our way soon. I think I already burned through $100 of the $500. At this rate I need a new goodwill (betterwill? leaving room for bestwill...) program before the new year! I hope the VW beancounters are cooking up the next PR stunt (lifetime free diesel?) while their engineering comrades are busy waiting for the EPA response.

Got my cards yesterday around 445, drove the 7 minutes to the dealer who activated them and I was out the door by 510.
No issue at all.

Did use the validate website to make sure the amount was showing on the cards. The dealer card number is on the back. Last 3 numbers are the 3 digit code, other 16 numbers is like a credit card number..
Should work on dealer site for purchases.

Registered Nov. 20 and got mine today.
Not sure I can spend $500 at my dealer. I got lifetime oil changes in the deal & then I find out I have one of them special dealers that you need to check the oil before leaving their lot. They may have forgot to change it when that's all it was there for.

Got my goodwill package

Well, it's not just free money. I am considering signing up for the package, but might wait a little while just in case. You are signing away rights to litigation in any state but South Dakota, so it's a little too fishy to me right now. Hope all of you are still happy with your decision a year or two from now. Also, you are gambling a bit because of them saying they can change the deal at any time in the future for any reason. Keep us updated!

That's what I was alluding to in my earlier posts. Could you link to something that spells out your rights to litigation in regards to accepting the "Goodwill Package"?

I can't imagine accepting a $1000 payout if by accepting it might cost me several thousands of dollars later and not having any legal recourse for damages.

I spent mine in less than 24 hours....thanks Santa diesel.

When I brought in the cards to get activated, the sales person asked me my opinion of this whole situation; I told him I found the whole thing hilarious. I really enjoy my GSW, at my last fill-up I had gotten 47.2 mpg (calculated. not computer). The car drives great, and I just don't anticipate any fixes that will make my life that much less enjoyable.

I've seen numerous discussions and threads alluding to decreased re-sale values, however, being a high-mileage driver (25000+ miles/year) on my last three vehicles, i just don't see any reason to lose sleep over a depreciating commodity which most cars are.

I hope there's a second "good-will" package, just to make sure that I'm not unhappy.

Drove by Quirk VW in Manchester. Not "my" closest dealer but it is in my sales territory. They have the Service MGR doing these. He's got a five step form for confirmation that "he" did it correctly and that I was the owner.....anyway, went fast. 10-15 minutes including buying wipers with the white card. Thank you VW.
