I signed up on the 10th and haven't received anything yet. I spoke with a lady at VW and she said that they don't count Sunday's or holidays in the 4 weeks.
I also signed up on the 10th, but did not get a confirmation email - so i resigned on the 12th and received a confirmation email. Care package arrived today.

Ok so I just called customer care and she said that all the care packages are being mailed out from Illinois.
I registered on the 9th, it was processed on the 10th. Have not received anything, not even a letter regarding this fiasco.

The part that pisses me off is the fact that I live in Pleasant Prairie, WI. The same town that has a VW parts distribution center. I'm within 50 miles of the credit center in Libertyville, IL (I think goodwill is coming out of here) and the Midwest Region Office in Rosemont, IL.

My auto loan is with VW Credit, I have ensured that all my information is up to date since all this crap started and I get nothing. Hell if it wasn't for the forums I'd be totally in the dark here.

No whining! I got 48 MPG on an 1/2 hour highway cruise today and I wasn't even trying!! Still love my car and we're getting free Christmas gifts as well. Wheeee!
This about sums it up for me.

The $500 will be applied to Christmastime dinner at Sullivan's in the KC area.

Thanks Volkswagen.

Seasons best, ez

I did a chat and they told me later this week or early next. It would be nice to receive them before Friday, since I'm going away, traveling from Philadelphia to Kohler, Wisconsin and have the roadside assistance active for that. But i was nice and told her happy holidays, which she appreciated very much. Maybe that will will the package to arrive Wednesday or Thursday

Has anybody considered it to donate the "care money" to a local charity, or to someone less fortunate. It Christmas time after all.

I signed up 11/7. 4 weeks from then is tomorrow. Email said: Within 4 weeks you should receive your Goodwill Package materials
Notice the word should, does not say would. That to me means they are NOT committing to 4 weeks.

No cards yet.

The return address section on my envelope says:

Volkswagen Program Headquarters
P.O. Box 6100
Woodridge IL 60517

I live about 70 miles from there... It's just east of Naperville.

Looking at the Roadside Asst. guide, they must have been in a hurry to cut these things out. It looks like a Third Grader cut it out :p

Took my Goodwill Package to the dealer today to have it activated and it only took several minutes. The manager of the dealership had to activate it. Also I was told to call the dealer before going there to make sure they were participating in the program, that most, but not all dealers are, so if you are driving a ways to get to the dealer, it would be a good idea to call them to make sure they can activate it. Also I talked to the manager about the fix, I asked him, if it was going to have the adblue system installed and he said my 2012 Jetta was one of the tough fixes, he said he was not sure if they really had a solid idea of what they were going to do with this gen of cars yet!

A note for those who aren't in the habit of reading the fine print:

Located on the back of the booklet that contains your cards, paragraph #5, is your PIN number for the Visa Loyalty card....if you ever need it for a transaction. For most transactions, you can just select "Credit" and sign the receipt.

If they are a franchised dealer why would they refuse to participate in having people spend money at their dealer?

OK if this is the same manager that told you the other dubious comments, I would take his comments with a grain of salt. He is guessing and repeating idle gossip. With that said, it is common knowledge the SCR (Adblue) cars should be easier to fix with less loss of MPG and performance. This guy knows nothing more than anyone or how VW will fix the car.

Interesting, the Visa Loyalty Card says debit. Yet, instructions say to select credit.

A dealer 200 miles away from my house is offering book value trade in on the TDI's and willing to do true car price match. I may use the $1500 loyalty bonus + this $1000 on purchasing a new GTI. But something tells me to wait because we may receive more gifts next year according to a different dealer sales manager.

Yeah, it appears to be like a bank card. You can use it either way, just can't pull cash with it. I think they are instructing the use of "Credit" to make the transaction less likely to fail? When a "Debit" transaction is rang up, the account is checked and sometimes this fails. But a "Credit " transaction checks with Visa, and these transactions are usually less problematic. I run into this with my own bank card sometimes when selecting "Debit", so then I switch to "Credit" and it will usually go through.....even when my account has more than enough to cover the transaction.

Won't know for sure until I use it though, and that won't be for another month. I'm using mine for gas money to take my kids to Disney World next month. :)

No it was not the manager of the dealership that told me not all dealers are participating it was the person at the Volkswagen Customer Care Center that I called before going to have it activated that told me not all dealers are participating. I called them because the package I received said to call if you have any questions and I did, they told me to make sure to call the dealer I was going to because they would hate for me to drive to a dealer over 70 miles away and to make the trip for nothing since some dealers can not activate it. Just passing the word on to help others who might not know this and make a trip for nothing, but you are welcome to go ahead and drive yourself without calling since you know everything! Just because you have it activated at one dealer it can be used at any VW dealer.

So did they input your name and your car VIN number into their computer system? Or just take a look at your car, registration, and then activate the cards?

Yes they actually give you a printed activation confirmation page.
They have to verify registration name matches on the drivers license and debit/dealership cards. They have to enter the name on the registration and drivers license in the computer and also confirm the subject vehicle is present and put the current mileage in the computer.

It seems that only those who signed up after 11/12 received their package.

Has anyone received it that has signed up between 11/9 and 11/11?
