VW TDI compatible gasket treatment? VW compatible engine flush? Speed sensor questions?

My VW MK5 Jetta, I would like to inhibit oil leaks from the engine. I know that most TDI diesel engines do leak some, and I love the TDI, but I would like mine to leak very little. Can you suggest a VW compatiblegasket treatment? Something to actually cause the gaskets to soften and expand in thickness, like a plasticizer? Not a hole filler.

Can you also suggest an engine oil pan crud flush, which is compatible with VW? Something to put into the oil, run the car for about 10 minutes, and then change the oil and the oil filter?

I replaced the old VW speed sensor with a new VW one. The old sensor surpisingly was caked with about 3/8 thick glob of stiff black goop. I replaced the sensor because VCDS was recording pretty skittish traces on the output. And the car was occasionally missing at speeds of 55 mph to 65 mph. I have not tested the new sensor yet.

SEVERAL MONTHS AGO I made changes to the ECU and modified some of the equipment on the MK5. The problem with the skittish missing only started appearing A FEW WEEKS ago. Should I presume that the changes I made several months ago did not cause this problem?

Sorry VCDS did not record any codes.

Thank you in advance for your good advice,

Something that has worked for me, for gasket rejuvenation, is actually a mild de-greaser. Specifically the captive valve cover gasket on my '01 and '03. Cleaned it up and soaked it (sat the cover in a shallow pan) for several hours, and it seemed to do just that: "soften and expand in thickness". The stuff I use is super cheap and free of any frills like silly fragrances and colorings. It's fairly old-school. Great for general engine bay cleansing IMO.
As for running something to clean out the oil and galleys, frankly, VW spec Fully Synthetic should do that for you by itself.

Any attempt to answer your question would be futile since we don't know what changes and modifications you made.

Hi ST :

Thanks for the good ideas.

Here is a quote from the S.D.S. sheet of the LA Awesome. Great ingredients.

0.01 to 2.5 Orange Oil Blend(CAS# 8008-57-9) & (CAS#111-76-2))
0.5 to 4.0 Ethoxylated Alcohol (CAS# 9036 19 5)
0.5 to 1.5 Disodium Salt (CAS# 6834-92-0)
0.5 to 1.5 Tetra Sodium EDTA (CAS# 64-02-8)
0.5 to 0.8 Hydroxy Sodium (CAS# 1310-73-2)
QS Water (CAS# 7732-18-5)

Note that I am a former PDXer myself. I was amazed by Franz Auto Haus and his BMW brother on the old Union Ave. Great service!
