Yup, nothing new there.
Call them on every clean title car. I had similar thing and when I spoke to them on the phone, person cleared some "red flags" and everything got processed a few days later. No movement on any of my cars.Even my clean titles have been there for 3.5 months and the one I received offer on and notarized it,has been there over 4 weeks and still cannot schedule appointment.
But I received Bosh settlement checks on my rebuilt titles I turned in in February and instead of $350,I got $175,so I think they will split the settlement money between the previous owner and current owner, which turns it eventually in.So maybe it's good news, that things are moving.
Called dozens of times and they always claim it's under review with no time frame.Called lawyers many times as well-emailed clean autocheck and still nothing.Call them on every clean title car. Interesting thing I noticed that I used to get "Make Appointment" email within 15-20 minutes of upload. Now its always 24-48 hours later.
Just for clarification: This is a Salvage title 3.0 that was salvaged 11/16 and has an Oregon Salvage title and plates. My initial claim was denied over a month ago. So this isn't their "initial review", this is their review of my appeal to their denial. So I opened my email this morning to find this email from VW.
"Based on an initial review of your claim, we have determined that we need additional information for Volkswagen to process your claim. Please submit the following document:

Anyone been here yet? The vehicle has a title, is registered and is on the road. The title says "salvage title" on it. Guess I'll be contacting the lawyer again...
Many have. I have a 3.0 that was found ineligible, i.e. "denied". The next step is to appeal their denial. If you see my post above yours, you will see what has happened in my case.just trying to summarize all this...a basic question...has ANYBODY been actually denied a buyback because of a rebuilt or salvage title?? That is.. anyone that is NOT in the excluded categories..E.G.and others... " Owners whose Volkswagen or Audi 2.0-liter TDI vehicle (1) could not be driven under the power of its own 2.0-liter TDI engine on June 28, 2016, or (2) had a branded title of assembled, dismantled, flood, junk, rebuilt, reconstructed, or salvage on September 18, 2015, and was acquired from a junkyard or salvage yard after September 18, 2015;" ,,, also ...."Owners who sell or otherwise transfer ownership of their Volkswagen or Audi 2.0-liter TDI vehicle between June 28, 2016 and September 16, 2016 "..."Owners who acquired ownership of their Volkswagen or Audi 2.0-liter TDI vehicles after September 18, 2015, and transfer title before participating in the Settlements;"
Your question has nothing whatsoever to do with this thread, but here's what I think happened: (1) Your car had an Eligible Seller who filed a timely claim, either with VW or directly with Bosch (so that person gets half of the $350); (2) in cases where there are multiple payments coming from VW, Bosch is also making multiple proportional payments. Since you get stage 1 of the fix, you got 2/3 of the restitution money from VW; Bosch then paid you 2/3 of the $175 they're going to pay you. When you get stage 2 of the fix done, VW and Bosch will both pay you the remaining 1/3 of the amounts they respectively owe.Was expecting a check for $350 from Bosch but received a paltry $117 check with no additional explanation for my 2015 2.0L TDI Jetta.
I got first batch of Bosch checks like 3 months ago-all for $350.My checks I just got this week were all for $175 and I turned those rebuilt cars in feb and march this year. They were holding them for long time.I looked at autocheck at couple and they were one owner cars until they wrecked them last Dec and this Jan.Your question has nothing whatsoever to do with this thread, but here's what I think happened: (1) Your car had an Eligible Seller who filed a timely claim, either with VW or directly with Bosch (so that person gets half of the $350); (2) in cases where there are multiple payments coming from VW, Bosch is also making multiple proportional payments. The first one is directly contemplated in the Bosch settlement; the second is not--Bosch is supposed to be notified when a VW claim is approved, and they're supposed to process payment at that time. There's no provision for multiple proportional payments from Bosch.
Further discussion would probably be better put into one of the threads about the Bosch settlement, like this one: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=478060

This email came in last night, 24 hours after the email quoted above. I did nothing between the two emails besides forward the email to legal counsel. I was advised that appeals are reviewed based on when they were filed.Just for clarification: This is a Salvage title 3.0 that was salvaged 11/16 and has an Oregon Salvage title and plates. My initial claim was denied over a month ago. So this isn't their "initial review", this is their review of my appeal to their denial.
I have spoken with class counsel, and they deny coming to any such decisions.Based on what has been said here recently--that VW and the lawyers have made a decision about salvage vehicles--I resubmitted my rejected documents over the weekend. As of now it is sitting in 'document review', which is better than automatic rejection within 12 hours. Maybe there is hope.
Am I the only non-dealer in this thread?
I believe these claims won't move until around September 2018. It makes sense for VW to hold their money as long as possible, hoping some claims will drop off, and I don't think there's any legal or financial consequence for not doing so. If they can hold claims for 6 months or so, why not 18 months?I have spoken with class counsel, and they deny coming to any such decisions.
I'm guessing that once an agreement has been reached we will receive a timely email outlining a simple process to get these claims moving.
I'm not a dealer, and I know 5-6 other owners in the same boat as me, all of whom are not dealers.
Isnt money in an escrow account so it shouldnt matterI believe these claims won't move until around September 2018.
