Anyone know why all the parts suppliers are currently out of stock or say it's no longer available? Is something wrong with the new formulation that includes glycerin or is the dealer just not sharing? Looking at ingredients lists, why pay more for names like Pentosin and Rowe when they are the same ingredients as in Peak or Prestone? Because they are shipped out of Germany? No one else's G13 has glycerin from what I have seen, just VW's. Any thoughts on glycerin?

There's also Peak that has a pink euro car formula for VW 1996-2008. I believe that's also available at Autozone or Advance.

Pentofrost too, but that's even harder to source.

Where do you get this from? The SDS's (Safety Data Sheets) I find says it's manufactured by Vaico, Valeo, Skoda, and a handful of other European manufacturers, Valvoline is not among them.
I got this from the bottles themselves. VW brand says it is manufactured by Valvoline in the USA and same with Zerex. Actually I went to the dealer to buy G13 but they only stock G12evo now, and I looked at the bottle there. I decided to buy Zerex for much less. I heard from an IDParts representative that VW does not currently recommend G12 for diesels. Not sure how much I care, I think they will all work.

That's funny cuz they recommended it for years....my 97 Jetta came from the factory with it.

IDParts, bless their soul, has given me incorrect information before as well. I am going to just write that up to the imperfection of humans because generally, they're a good vendor. You don’t need to believe everything someone tells you...

I just flushed out my 2013 because it has what looks like Prestones "all vehicles, All types" coolant. its that same shade of yellow.

I see Peaks pink coolant is to 2008 & their purple is 2008 & up. What are the two? Similar to G12 & G13 What changed in 2008?
