This is pretty cool, thanks for posting!

It looks like there is not much beetle in there. I love the name though.
From the photos it looks like it's still a beetle pan, and drivetrain... basically everything is there except the cabin which was replaced by the camper.

Air cooled??? Hope this never gets stuck in a traffic jam
Why? Air cooled VWs do fine in traffic jams... this vehicle is similarly sized to the early VW buses that had the same engine, and they work great.

Yup--so long as all the tin and seals are good, the fan will blow air over the cylinders and head to keep it cool just fine. At all speeds. No real ram-air affect on cooling when you're driving down the road.

It's a cool novelty vehicle, but the aerodynamics are truly godawful. Probably ok as long as you don't ask it to exceed 45 mph for any length of time. I doubt the motor would last more than an hour or two at 60+ mph. The old breadloafs are actually pretty aerodynamic for a brick.
