VW 1.6 TDI

Hello I’ve got a Mk7 golf 1.6tdi it’s on 92k and when ever I start it up after it’s been sat overnight there’s a lot of juddering and it sounds like it’s misfiring and abit of white smoke from exhaust it seems to be worse when the temperature outside is colder but after a couple of minutes its fine and there’s no judder or misfire please help it’s driving me mad now got it booked in for new glow plugs in a few days and also changed fuel filter hasn’t helped

Glow plugs would be an excellent place to start.
