people...its after christmas AND winter AND fuel prices are super low... Do you really think people are knocking down the doors to buy TDi's which are a niche market in the best of times?
Also, Im sorry, I cant take any of you people seriously who want to dump your new 14 or 15 so soon... This reminds me of when we had the huge housing crash and people walked away from their houses because they werent worth what they paid... OMG... really people?? Guess what? You paid 25,000 plus tax title and license for your new TDI for example... Total price would be in CA about 28,500.. ALL NEW CARS LOSE AT LEAST 20% off their MSRP and its worse if you got a great deal... so now, you are out $8500....
VW in all of their infinite wisdom has been cheapening out their cars for some time now so they can sell them cheaper. That just hurts resale that much more.
I will tell you one thing... if you think your resale value is poor with a TDi, try a gasser. HAHAHAHA Oh boy...
And further more, you have a very special car... especially the ones that dont even have to get them emission tested. Why? Because VW wil never make them this way again and you can always get a tune to get rid of whatever the EPA and their stupid hypocritical regulations make you do.
The people who are whining and crying are simply looking for ways to dump their cars. Period. True TDI people know what they have..
I get the loss in value thing! We all do, some prefer to buy every couple of years and see it as a cost they are willing to pay, others want to drive the wheels off it.. Whatever.. Their choice, for me, until VW comes up with a fix I will make no decisions on wether to keep it or dump it, I enjoy driving my Passat, the tdi will be looked at as a scab for along time to come, not by everybody but by a majority... So, if VW makes it possible to dump it I just may do it, problem is other than a tdi VW makes nothing I really want
True tdi people really...
