VCDS too old?

Good morning everyone, I am trying to get my VCDS to interface with my wife's 13 Touareg and it will not detect it with igntion on or running. I have updated the software to 20.10.0, USB library version 03.02.07, USB driver version 2.10.0, type rosstech kII USB, genuine, version 1.96. the cable works just fine when I plug it out nto my 96 Passat and my ALH swapped mk2. Is my cable simply too old to interface with my wife's car?

You'll need the newer vcds for the 2013 treg. The kii-usb only works for the 2004-2006 Touareg iirc.

This. The KII-USB won’t work with that year, you need the Hex-Can. It’s why I traded my old KII in years ago on the Hex-Can.
