Might be something Uwe can help with...

So I have a 2012 Jetta in my shop the old SORD module was removed (previous mechanic changed seats with junkyard seat)

Ordered by VIN a new SORD module, original part number 5C6-959-339-A superseded to 5H6-959-339-B 002

Airbag Module is 5C0-959-655-E Component: VW10G 014 0808

I use security access, 20324
I go to Basic Settings
I try Resetting seat occupied recognition and Seat occupied recognition serial number, place a 0 in either one and get
"ERROR: Request Sequence Error"

Anyone know why I can't run basic on this module?

I had the same issue with a 2013 seat I replaced in an Audi A3, the security access code that VCDS emailed me would not let me access the module. I ended up taking it to the dealer to get the SORD coded, which wasn't cheap!

A module for a flight of mallards? Perhaps the OP's car was in a quack-up?

(Sorry, I couldn't resist) :D

I think it's Seat Occupied Recognition Detection. More often, I've heard it called PODS for Passenger Occupant Detection System or (or something like that).
