Just moving this into it's own thread. The old one doesn't have details till later.

May 17, 2003
How does this slightly modified schedule sound:
- 9:00am @ US Border
- 10:00am @ Fred's for wrench/BBQ Lunch
- 2:00pmish - Leave Fred's for cruise (Shannon Falls was the latest suggestion)
- 6:00pm - Dinner at a resturant (yet to be decided)

For the wrenching part we will be installing 2 sets of injectors to start with. I'm limited on tools, so make sure someone can bring them if you need something special.

I'll be providing burgers & hotdogs for lunch, just respond below in if you plan to be attending (or email me).

Specifically, the visitor information centre just past Canada Customs-Peace Arch crossing (not the truck crossing).

I've got plenty of tools and will bring some cleaning supplies for injector nozzle changes.

Went out today by Global Express Mail. Barring Customs problems, Fred should have them Tue or Wed.

I remember how to get there, but don't remember the address!!!

See ya Saturday!!! Brian

I can't come for the entire day, but I would sure like to be at your place, meet everybody, and check out cars from 10:00 until 2:00.

Also, I need to have my EGR recalibrated; would anyone with a VAG COM be able to do that for me? Neil Miskey (neimis)

Will try to make it to Fred's at 10.
Just a small reminder.
BC government introduced new parking fee policy which does affect the possible trip up to Shannon Falls.
The charge,as of 15th of May,is $3 per vehicle.

To avoid this nuisance, another spot might be of interest.
Tantulus range viewpoint just a few kilometers north of Squamish could be considered.
It is a part of the old highway,[now dead end],therefore plenty of room to park.
Just a suggestion!

I suggested Shannon Falls, but for no particulaar reason, we can bat it around at Fred's-doesn't really matter to me where we go.

Reminder- I've got two mag lights to give away in a draw so make sure to be there!

The Tantalus viewpoint is a great place for photos!!!! The only concern would be getting all of us back out and across safely heading south on the sea to sky...

See you guys tomorrow! Hopefully the nozzles show up at Fred's today

BTW - I will be at Fred's for 10am - I was going to head down to the border meet-up, but I'm going to pick up my brother to come out instead (and I covet as much weekend sleep in as I can get!!!)

Naww, I couldn't handle all that torque
You know I almost bought another diesel. And I will again once I "settle down" I think

Then maybe build a Mk2 1.8T

Anyways, I'm planning on being there tomorrow.

Good to see everyone again!

Unfortunately Fred & I didn't get to get our hands dirty with new injectors, but I guess that means the next time we all GTG we'll both be a bit speedier!!!

Thanks for the BBQ, Fred!

Cheers,
Brian
