Ok guys, lets make definate plans on our trip down there. Where and when should we meet. I know some are in Abbotsford, Richmond and Vancouver. Should we meet in a few different places and work our way down over the truck crossing? I know some are meeting in Everett around 8:30am. Might make it a real early morning tip.

Greetings,
I'll meet anywhere!!!!! White Rock is 40 minutes from me in Abbotsford. If you tell me, I will come.
The more meeting points we make, the longer it will take, so maybe we should limit this?
Also, we should probably provide cell #s if available to allow for communication for those of us who will probably be late.

You are probably right, 8:30 in Everett would require leaving way too early.
8:30 at the boarder would be fine. Peace Arch or the truck crossing?

Hey Guys, we're in for the 21st!

Since it'd be a pretty early takeoff time to meet the guys in Everett, how about if we meet somewhere at 8.30am, and have our own CDN convoy down there? We'll get there by lunchtime.

Meeting place? Maybe in the parking lot of the Duty Free shop on the right hand (west) side, as you are approaching the *TRUCK* border crossing, or ???

I agree with Eek, the more pickup points, the more time needed, so we should try to minimize this.

Bring any FRS radios that you might have...They're add a lot of fun, and are invaluable for the cruise! I'll bring a couple that I have, so I'll have one extra.

Once we finalize plans, we can exchange cell phone numbers offlist via email.

Too bad we won't be seeing you guys in Everett, that'd be quite a convoy, but I understand - it would have to be real early for you. See ya in Oly!

I'm in.

DL Durand, perhaps if you guys could wait till 10 before leaving, we could probably leave a little earlier and meet up.
BTW anyone seen directions?

Heinz did post some a couple months ago for the last GTG. They should still be floating around. But I'm sure that if we ask nice, he would re-post.

Dutchman is heading up the Everett convoy. I'm just going with the flow.

I'd like to suggest the Duty Free parking lot at the TRUCK crossing. There seems to be less problems there.

Let me know, and we'll be there.

Oh, and try to fuel up before we meet, especially you gassers

Ya, ya, we will need 10 pitstops for me to get down there.
(I think I can make it on one actually)
.

Either crossing is fine, but we need to finalize this ASAP.

Hi All,
The earlier we get there, the better for me as I have great aspirations for the day (chip, boost gauge, intercooler cleaning).

Please be very clear where we are meeting, as I am fairly new to the Lower Mainland, and don't want to be sitting at the wrong border crossing, scratching my noodle wondering where everyone is.

As well as fueling up, everyone should have their Tim's prior to departure as well.

Until Saturday AM,
EEK

I think we need to finalize this ASAP, so lets just make a choice.
X marks the spot .

Duty Free parking lot at the 176th St TRUCK crossing.

We will be leaving that spot at 8:30am Saturday July 21, 2001, so try to be there a bit earlier. Email me if you need directions. I don't have a cell phone, but I can give you my home number off line (just email).

Cheers,

Fred
