Well here they are - the photos you've all been waiting for. We want to thank Fred & Nicole for their hospitality also. All-in-all a great turn out for a weekend full of surprising weather conditions!!

Thanks also to Dan for topping us up with some veggie oil and for letting us play with the VAG-COM.

Had some fun trying to think up a unique caption for every image - but check it out:

Thanks everyone for making the trek north. Looking forward to the next one.

Thanks hotrodtdi for letting me take your awesome Golf for a spin. I have a new respect for automatics now!

PS, Penny, you got the pics done quick! They look great!

I knew that it would hurt when I looked at the pics. I missed out some fun with great people. Wish I could'a been there, but duty called.

Ah, well - time to start planning for the next one.

TDIBri and TDIPen:

Thanks for being such great hosts! The food was awsome and the rally
...I mean sceanic drive...was fabulous. Sharon and I loved the trip. And the dogs loved the leftover pizza, although we didn't know they ate it until we got home.

Hopefully Sharon will be able to post the pics after work today.

And remember, everyone, to chip into Fred's server collection hat and John's new tire collection hat
.

Marc, don't sniff your tailpipe too long...you might get hooked.

Hey, no problem on the captions. Nice pictures from our GTG.. I have been showing them to everyone!

ShuylerDomer:

The Biodiesel is wonderful... The car runs quieter on this fuel and I think it even makes it feel a bit smoother on the highway too! I wish we could buy this 100% of the time down here in Chehalis... Thanks again for the sample...

Hey...I didn't know there was a group thing for TDIs in vancouver!?

How often do you guys do a GTG?

Also, I was looking at those pics, where did you guys get your hands on the bio-diesel? I haven't found anyplace around here that I can get it from....

Coolin, it has been posted for quite a while now that we were having this GTG. Just stay posted here and we may have another one soon maybe even a picnic if folks in the lower mainland are up to it. The biodiesel was brought up by Dan from Seattle. He has mass quantities of it when he's not cookin fries at Mcdonalds.

Sorry I couldn't make it guys. Pics look great but I haven't straightend everything out with INS yet so I did want to take the risk of not being able to get back in.

I'll try to make the next one.

coolin - I think you float around on VWDOV - the cruise was posted there, too! (about 3 weeks in advance with a remindier post about a week ago.) I'll continue to post any local stuff on both Fred's and Jason's sites.

SchuylerDomer - Please let me know what's up with the VAG-COM, I'm more than willing to pay for a replacement if it fried from my car....

Also - everyone from the vancouver area - hands up for putting a serious effort into either sourcing or making our own BioDiesel in the Lower Mainland! Dr.Dan had said he was willing to bring some up if we had interest - but $2.50US/Gal is a bit rich for regular use! Maybe we could even look into getting a grant from the Fed's to make and distribute our own!!! (TDIBri)

Hey guys and gals, thanks for coming out and making this a great GTG.

Brian and Penny, thanks for getting the pics up so quickly. I found the captions very amusing...especially "Jack on the bug".

You're right Frank. Being a single young gal and all, I guess I don't fit into the "widow" category. I suppose a more technically accurate caption would be "The Estrogen Factor".

re: Jane being a "widow". I know - she doesn't really "qualify", but... 4 out of 5 fit the bill....
(Like I said - hard to come up with captions.)

Anyway - hey MarcB - sorry about spelling your name wrong in the captions, will try to change that tonight.

Sorry to have missed this one - Vancouver is one of my favourite places to visit - ay!
Unfortunately Windsor in Ontario is considered the Bahamas of Canada and I had the pleasure of a 1 hour blizzard last weeks while there on business instead of attending. Looks like everyone had a great time and a great time by all.

Keep wanting to GTG with Markp - hopefully this weekend sometime or an evveing this week.

Very cool to see a new angle on the photographs Bill!! I'll have to borrow some of yours too.

Great shots - nice captions.

Being only a part time attendee I still managed to participate in most of the fun - pub brunch, scenic drive, visiting Fred and Nicole, flat tire...

Oh, I also had a chance to ride or even drive two other TDI's - an adventure.

Thanks everybody for a great day.
