It might be time for me to move on from my beloved wagon. It is becoming too much of a pain in the ass to have a vehicle that my wife can't drive (learning manual just will not take with her, and has become a non-starter at this point). Plus I have a separate "fun" car to scratch my manual transmission itch . Wonder what the value would be - I don't mean for this to be a fishing expedition for offers, but I would like to determine reasonable value before I can decide what I'm replacing it with. I'm thinking a 2007-11 Volvo XC70. If I can't have manual at least I can have AWD.
Details:
-2003 in reflex silver, 199300km on the odometer
-runs like an absolute champ, starts at all temperatures and still looks sharp when cleaned up
-I put only LiquiMoly 5W40 in it. My average oil change interval is 9633km. I track everything in a spreadsheet (which I'm happy to share) so I know this very precisely . It takes maybe 1L max between oil changes.
-DefenderTech skid plate
-only the smallest amount of rust behind the front wheels which is mostly hidden by the splash guards. Metal is still rock solid but the paint has bubbled off - I've greased the hell out of it to keep it from spreading (which you can see in photo), and clean behind the fender liners in fall/spring when I change the tires over.
-summers and winters on OEM alloys (although summers need to be replaced soon).
-Malone Stage 2 with 520 injectors installed by performancedieselinjection.com
-IDParts/Sachs Quiet Clutch installed by Precision Tuning.
-I have the full service history from new and have owned it myself since 113K kms. I am the third owner. It was originally owned by an old couple (seriously, his name was Wilfrid - I have the service receipts) until 2018, then his mechanic bought it but decided it wasn't for him, and shortly afterward I bought it from him. I used it to commute 120km/day on the 407 from then until the pandemic.
-Aftermarket Kenwood head unit with hands-free Bluetooth.
-Cloth interior (no tears), no sunroof.
-Timing belt (Contitech) was done at 92K so that will need to be done at some point but not right away (has 108K on it).
-Serpentine belt done at 148K
-Brakes all around at 182K
-Everything works. I can't abide things not working. Would drive me bananas.
Below is a recent representative photo (last August). As you can see I have no problem loading it up to take the kids camping in it. I'd trust it to drive anywhere.
Would be interested in people's thoughts on current value.
