Did VW miss something like...oh...I don't know....perhaps an exterior key hole?!?!
Seriously...lets look at a possible scenario here. You go to a restaurant and hand off the valet key to the attendant because your key/remote combo is on a ring with your house key, etc and you don't want the valet to have that. The valet takes the valet key and the car, and takes it to a parking lot 2 blocks away. He can't lock the car, because he has no key fob and there are no keyholes on the exterior of the Golf. So now your car is sitting unlocked in a lot not in view of the valet attendant.
For me it's not an issue...I don't think I've ever used valet parking. But it hit me while noticing the valet attendants from some local hotels running a couple blocks from their hotels to unattended parking areas to retrieve cars. I haven't seen a key hole on my Golf, and the valet key has no lock & unlock buttons on it.
Did I miss something here? Or did VW miss something? Just curious...not an issue for me, but just an observation about the MkVI.
