VAG-COM to change locks.

Do I need the full version of VAG-COM to change the way my locks work or will the shareware version work? Also I dont have a Bently manual so how do I find out what the LOGIN code is?

As far as the login code: You don't need one to access the block to change the locks. Really, the only login code I use is 12233, which is for the engine block. I'm not sure if you need the full version or not. If vagcom doesn't throw up an error, it has accepted it and you wouldn't need the full version.
Little advise:
If you plan on keeping the car for a long amount of time, purchase the software. It's well worth it for things like IQ adjustments and the EGR mod.

The Shareware supports full coding functions, the adaptation stuff is read only in the shareware version.
