Vag-Com 302.1 Alpha TDIGraph reports too retarded

I tried to use the graphing feature, but it TDIGraph complains that it's too far out of spec to display! I've got no DTC's, but the car has been really hard to start and getting bad mileage since the last time at the Stealer.
I didn't catch the graph, but the numbers I get on basic settings are pretty whacky:

Is it possible these morons actually set the timing that far off and the car would still be running? BTW I'm getting like 34 on the highway and it's pi$$ing me off!

Wow, I just looked in my paper Bentley and I can see why the VagCom graphing function was telling you it could not beleive the results. Your timing is way way retarded. The engine would be oh so happy if your timing was moved up into the "accepted" timing range..

Do you have a 5 speed manual or Automatic. I am now get 45-47mpg with my 5 speed.....

Given the value in Block 9, Block 2 should be around 45. (Per Bentley for my A3)

I'm still covered under my 1 year extension to the bumper to bumper warr. Anybody have an opinion as to whether I should do the timing adjust myself or bring it back to a different Stealer to adjust?
I'm more than capable of doing this and have the excellent TDIclub forum writeups to go by, but I'm fundamentally pi$$ed off at having to work on what I consider to be a New Car under warranty!
I've already got 3 Merkur XR4Ti's, 1 Chevy conversion van, and 1 Mako boat that keep me busy enough!
I love this car but AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!
But I digress.
Any opinions about self-help vs. stealer attempt 2?
