Was looking for some real world feedback for MPG on the VAG 3.0 TDI. Using fuelecomony.gov, here's trhe #'s I found (please note, I'm not sure if these are supposed to be pre or post fix #'s)
2014 MY was used for all
Volkswagen Tourareg - 20/29 (23 combined)
Porsche Cayenne Diesel - 20/29 (23 combined)
Audi A6 TDI - 24/38 (29 combined)
Audi A7 TDI - 24/38 (29 combined)
Audi A8 TDI - 24/36 (28 combined)
Audi Q5 TDI - 23/30 (26 combined)
Audi Q7 TDI - 19/27 (22 combined)
We have two Q7 TDI (2011 & 2012) and while ~24 (our average for mixed driving) is good for a vehicle of the size & capabilities, I think the time has come for us to replace one of them with something "smaller".
I had thought the (slightly) smaller Touareg, Cayenne or Q5 would get a little better that the reported #'s above.
But it makes me ask - Do the A6/A7/A8 really see those kind of highway #'s?
Our current use about a 50/50 "mixed", while some upcoming changes will have at least 1 of use seeing more like an 20 city/80 highway mix.
So, what's your real world experience with any of the above?
