vacuum pump recommendations?

I'm interested in purchasing a decent quality vacuum pump suitable for testing and/or troubleshooting typical TDI issues, like turbo actuator operation, etc....

Any recommendations on a good product to purchase?

Would the Mityvac MV8000 like this one on Amazon be a good choice, or should I be looking for something else?

Any of them should be fine. Just stay away from any plastic ones and stick w/the metal. I have the HarborFreight one and it's lasted for years. It's a tool that's well worth the investment. I use mine for a lot of things including sucking that last bit of oil from the filter housing and fuel filter priming. You won't regret the purchase.
