That bent unibody rail above the exposed tire means a buyer might have trouble ending up with a straight car.

That is, if I am correctly interpreting that which I see in the pictures. Someone with bodyshop experience and familiarity with the structure of the vehicle would be able to make better observations.

Oberkanone, no, I'm not selling this. I'm just relaying it to the forum. It's located near where I live, but I have nothing to do with it.

PowderHound, you're right (I'd say) about the crooked car concerns, but I'm no expert. It's that gem of a motor and then some sale-able body parts and components that you're buying.

My Golf was slightly worse than that. I had the frame mostly straightened, then a Jetta passenger side welded on to the frame 'horn'. Once it was back on the road, took it to the alignment shop, they said it was perfectly in spec.
I'd buy and fix it if I had the money. Those things must be beasts!
