So did they hire more 3rd party auditors? That seems to be where the hang up is. Most of us got our acceptance within the 10 business days following Nov 1 start time. I am now hung up in the auditor phase since Nov 14. I called today and they said that they know the auditors are over the ten days but they are back logged and there is no time frame for when they will make it past the auditor.

Great. Got my offer accepted email today, went to the portal to set my appt., and OF COURSE the portal is down. Even called their 844- help line just to have them tell me there is no estimated time that it will back up. Thanks for implementing a half-baked web solution for this buyback VW. Just to save a few dollars toward your CEO's pay.

The VW IT cell has been under a lot of stress. I think they should be allowed to shut down over the holidays (starting this Saturday) and return fresh in January.

Have an appointment on December 21 to turn my Golf in. Finally! Pretty annoyed though that I have had to wait this long when so many of you are fortunate enough to have already turned yours in. VW is clearly overwhelmed and understaffed to handle this situation. Hopefully this will all be over soon for everyone looking to turn their car in.

Scanned all seven pages , made 7 pdf files.
Opened Word and pasted the seven pdf files onto separate pages of the word.doc file
Converted word.doc file to pdf file using "cute printer" program
Loaded converted file to VW Claim, accepted the next day.
(nice part, you can look at the word file and verify all pages show all info)
January 5th turn in date

My docs were approved on 11/3 and then offer letter went to the auditor on 11/9, here it is 12/11 and still nothing.

My husband's car was approved on 11/15, we have already received, signed, returned offer letter and have buyback scheduled for 12/23.

Clearly they are not working first in/first out, but this is getting a bit ridiculous with the delays...

It's a good thing I even let you know to upload your docs to start with ... or not! Didn't make a difference at all!

Got my offer yesterday, which was the 10th business days since submitting. It was also about $400 more than I calculated.

I started my process in later Sept. Didn't realize I had to submit docs until Mid-October. They were accepted by early November. This past Monday 12/12 my offer was accepted, I uploaded it on Tuesday. Today I was allowed to make my buyback appointment. For January 23!!!! I'm about 1200 miles from the mileage limit. I drive 60 miles round trip 5-6 days a week. So mad right now.

No kidding! I wasted my time calling them only to get the "your offer letter was prepared and is with the auditor, you should get it in the next few days or week or so" from the rep on the other end of the phone. Seriously, if they can't tell any information, what's the point of even offering the phone number? Put me in touch with the auditor who has had my offer letter for 5½ weeks now and let me ask them "when are you going to hit the SEND button on that email?"

To add insult to injury, I pointed a coworker to the site saying "hey you might want to upload your info" and her docs were approved on 11/22, she received her offer on 12/13... I'm trying to be cool about the process and I understand others are submitting claims (the last rep was kind enough to give me the "over 300,000 customers" number, but seriously, why are these not being processed first-in, first-out?

Had an "AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!" moment on Friday.

Documents uploaded on October 31.
Notification that documents are acceptable on November 15
Notification that I forgot to sign the financial consent form on December 16 (ARGH!!)
Corrected document uploaded on December 16.

Pissed me off that they stated the docs are fine on November 15 and it took them the 20+ business days to finally say that there was a mistake.

Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed that I hear something back this week.

Settlement customer service phone number

Is there a phone number to call and actually speak with someone? I saw a reference to a 844.... number. I've anly reached a recorded message saying no additional information available than what is posted online which in my case is stuck on Step 15

Paper work uploaded 26 Oct
Accepted as complete 6 Nov

You just have to press various numbers to get to a person.
1 1 1 1 1 gets you that informative message that you are hearing.

I think I have it written down somewhere, but they're "not going to have any different information that you can find in the portal" -- and I know that by calling them more than once. My acceptance was complete 3 November and I am still waiting on the offer...

...and in a little twist of "screw you" our wagon decided this weekend to not want to start, no matter how much we tried, that's scheduled to go back to VW this Friday... praying that the bill at the shop to get it running is minimal...

I called today for an update and was told that they will be taking an additional 10 business days to review the file(s). (It takes 10 business days to confirm the file has the signature?)
I should expect to receive my offer the first week of January.

Use the extended road side assistance have them tow it on their DIME and leave it there till they buy it back

That would have been the plan if it would have turned over... towed it to our local shop first, 2 hours shop labour later, and over a gallon of water drained from the intercooler and 2 cylinders, it's running again.

If we just towed it to the dealer and it wasn't running, we'd be risking losing the buyback. Not worth it.

Water drained from cylinders? And its running again? You dodged a bullet.

Car only sat a week, had water in 2 cylinders, shop flushed it out and kept it inside for the night for observation. Next morning more water, they dumped nearly a gallon out of the pipe leading to the intercooler.

Brought it home Wednesday afternoon, car commuted to work Thursday no issue, commuting to work Friday afternoon and Rudolph decided to attack (yes, Christmas is cancelled, the deer ran into the front of the car, fender, light, bumper all damaged)... thankfully my husband is fine, the car still runs, he came home from work and we took it last night to the dealer and left with a buyback check which was deposited to the bank about ten minutes later. No questions/comments regarding the dent, just confirmed it was running, mileage, and hand over the key (just one, the spare is still in my jacket pocket). No questions about 1 vs 2 keys either.

Mine? Well that's still a waiting game. Called to claims on Monday, they "see the offer letter ready, not sure why it wasn't sent to you, I'll open an IT ticket and you'll hear in 2-3 days" followed up with a call to claims on Friday and "I don't know why you don't have it yet, I'll open a supervisor escalation ticket so you will get a call back in a few days"... Personally I'm not holding my breath about getting any offer letter in 2016. (Docs approved 11/3, Offer letter generated and sent to audit 11/8)

Got my email with the stamp of approval and the PDF to download the "packet" to be signed in front of a notary. The only question I have is that when they spoke of the "fix" the ONLY model year mentioned was the 2015. I called the "hot line" and got put onto "ignore" for 20 minutes before an individual, a woman with her "May I help you" came on. Well sirs I asked about the model year issue with respect to the 2015 EA 288 engine and my 2014's CJAA engine and that went over her head at about MACH TWO. So she put me on "ignore" for another 10 minutes and asked for "clarification". So I tried to explain to her AGAIN this time with her reading the same thing that was written on the packet. Next thing I get is "You'll have to talk to my supervisor." So back on "ignore" for another 15 minutes to when I finally said to self "EFF THIS!" and hung up. What the eff VW? You set up a "hot line" and staff it with people that don't know anything about the "offers", the vehicles, the powerplants or ANYTHING ELSE? So then I went to the settlement site, signed in, and "attempted" to use the "chat". That's FUBAR too! Now I'm getting seriously annoyed. So I called the dealer and spoke to one of the service writers I assume. They don't know squat either. Reading over the pages of "legalese" a$$ covering I'm about ready to say eff it and wait until the very last moment in 2018 to do anything. In the "fix" agreement they speak of "stages" of repair. About the 2/3, 1/3 "payment schedule". Is there even a "fix" that has met the approval of all the regulating entities? Are they only going to "fix" to 2015 models with the AdBlue injection? What the eff, over?
