Well, I was glad to help.
I hope more people will learn to use the Photo Gallery. Photos linked outside the club are subject to go dead which leaves a hole in a Thread. If they are linked within this forum they will be here a very a long time providing a good visual resource for future users.

I dumped PhotoBucket long ago.

Wish it was doable from the reply box in threads, but the above is still 100 times quicker than me clicking through 10 windows to get my flickr images hosted. I was almost ready to bail on this forum.
Not a flickr user anymore, but I thought they had direct link capability.
Looks like they do (assuming this is still current):

Get a direct URL to it
  1. Click a photo to open it.
  2. Click the Download icon.
  3. Click View all sizes.
  4. Click on the size you want to see.
  5. Right-click the image.
  6. Select Copy Image Location or Copy Image URL (text may vary per browser).

Then COMMAND+P (Mac; or I'm guessing CTRL+P for Windows(?)) within the "reply box" here to bring up the "insert photo" dialog. And then just paste the URL (which should end in .jpg) there.
Even if too big, you can re-size the image using drag handles.
(Trying with this link from the how-to page at flickr (https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50626614036_c68505b270_b.jpg))

(yep!)

(This is the same basic process I use, but with Dropbox - with DB, though, I have to change the URL from ending in dl=0 to raw=1
