Curious to know because I was about to buy the kit for my car. I've heard things all over the place with every kit, its hard to say which is the better one to get.
Same here... what are the other kits (assuming you are talking fuel system saver) are floating around as I only knew about Whitbread.

Fisher motorworks sells a kit that lets you install the bmw cp3 pump. Darkside also sells a kit. The Fisher kit is different than the white bread kit. The dark side kit looks like a copy of it.

I think (thought) he was talking about the fuel system saver (that's what I was talking about), not the CP3 kits. The CP3 kits are pretty much the same result, they all work good, fit and the big difference is the 2 different CP3 pumps used (the metering valves are specified and sometimes provided). The kits for the BMW R70 CP3 is the new kid on the block though, initial the R90 was the original version everyone had/has.

if I were you, get cp3 pump alone from ebay and get their mounting kit from those vendors. that way you don't need to get BMW CP3, get the actual CP3 gear driven unit that will not need you to keep the aux pump.

search for the cp3 on eBay, 0445010042 or

seller: nerings (I bought 2 from him in the past, no issues but watch for the FMV or have Malone tune it for the FMV model, that's what I did)

Thats a good idea. I know a couple of place I can get just the CP3 pump. I'll prob go that route. Still have some time before my next timing belt service.

indeed, you are welcome. I have been hearing about UK Diesels that sells cp3 pumps. several vendors including whitbread performance has been using them.

Hey have you checked your fuel lines and how they’re flowing ? I had received a T fitting for fuel line plumbing and had the main flow of the fitting running to the inner roller of the fuel pump. After realizing this I switched the fitting to have the main flow entering the metering valve and it got rid of my limp mode issue. I was unable to floor it without getting limp mode and P0087 but now get thrown back in my chair in launch control with ease.

Bumping this thread. I've been running the Whitbread Containment kit on a 2014 Sportwagen TDI CJAA DSG with Tunezilla "Stage 2.5"

I've been getting P0088 codes for Rail/System Pressure Too high both at coasting and when driving aggressively, especially once the car is fully warmed up.

I'm getting freeze frame data and a logging run for them.

Since the car has over 195k miles I started swapping some parts:

Downpipe
Stock CR140 Turbo (old turbo had minor shaft play)
EGR Cooler Removal and Coolant flush
O2 (Lambda) sensor
Primary EGT Sensor in the turbo manifold
N75 valve and all vacuum lines
2200-BAR Rail Pressure Sensor
MAF
Mann OE Air Filter
Liqui Moly Motor Flush and Oil change every 7000 miles or annually
DSG Service and Uprated DSG Heat Exchanger
EGR Cooler Removal and Coolant flush
Fuel filter changed every 14,000 miles (every other oil change or annually)
...

The Fuel Metering Valve, MAP sensor, and rail pressure relief valve are original. Valve cover and injectors are original. Timing was done at 131k miles. The intercooler was replaced under warranty about 2 years ago at 165k miles.

I'm planning to swap in the Kerma Boost hoses, CKRA intake manifold to remove the swirl flaps, EGR Valve Race Pipe, and new ASV/Regulating flap gasket. . Will probably do the thermostat housing and Serpentine Belt Tensioner then.

Don't worry, all the good parts are finding other homes!

Any updates? I'm curious to know if it's Malones tune or the Whitbread kit.

BTW- I used Grok, which said the Bosch 03L906054A is the correct sensor which according to Bosch is rated for 2200 bar.

My Whitbread's CP3 kit arrives today, I have the tunezilla stage 2 as well... I am having trouble sourcing the 2200 bar sensor... any help would be appreciated. TIA
I bought a FEBI sensor from an eBay european reseller. The Febi part clearly is OE and it has the VW / Audi logo scratched out.

Febi part no # 102489

Here's a link from a reputable US seller: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/vw-fuel-pressure-sensor-febi-102489

For clarification, this sensor is for the fuel rail.
