Good morning. Shoutout to all the posters on here. Lots of good information. First time posting. Havnt seen much information on people upgrading their fuel metering valves. Reason I am currently in this fuel rabbit hole is I have had a 0088 (High FP) code a few times - with no metal present in the system. I know darkside and a couple other vendors are/were selling an upgraded version of our fuel metering valves. Less restrictive. Has anyone got any solid information on using GM part n 12641035 - duramax valve. 90 degree cannon plug fitting type. Ive only found a few people on facebook using it and some claim certain vendors have essentially taken this 100$ part and upsold it on their website. (dont hate the player hate the game lol)

Anyway, I was hoping for some fellow tdi owners testimonies on this valve?

Thanks

You might want to take a look at a few of the threads on the MKVI sportwagen subforum. Theres tons of relevant information there.

Any reason for going with an upgrade on the CP4 metering valve and not going to like a stage 2 CP3 (darkside has upgraded ones).

No metal present, def keeping a close eye on it. Car has 650 miles on it since swapping in a new fuel metering valve (stock part) with zero CEL. Just curious about the GM metering valve. Only have found one facebook thread on it so far figured I would see if anyone else has used one.

Any luck with the metering valve, I’m also looking one as I have reached the limit of the pump and just need abit more out of it, I seen the one on darkside and I can’t work out if it one they have modified or it’s just one from a different car.. so I have been looking and only one I can find that abit bigger than the cp4.1 is the cp4.2 but clearly the one they have most be bigger than that as it’s a upgrade for the cp4.2 too🤷‍♂️ so a part number would really help ?

couple thousand miles later (i commute 200 miles a day 4x a week) and no faults. Hopefully I didn't just jinx it by making this post, but so far ive had success with that larger metering valve keeping away 0088 code

From memory - had to remove the purple clip and slightly trim the tabs. And I believe you plug it in upside down from stock.
