Still getting nowhere, but still tweeting... prepping email letter to the big 3 previously posted, planning to send either tomorrow or Tuesday.

@VW @vwcares @FTC #TDIBuyback day 71, is Friday the 13th my lucky day? Still waiting for an offer letter. #TDIOwnersUnite

@VW @vwcares @FTC #TDIBuyback day 72, I guess Friday the 13th was NOT my lucky day. No offer letter still. #TDIOwnersUnite #waitingsucks

@VW @vwcares @FTC #TDIBuyback a poem: Roses are red, Violets are blue, I have an offer, Bazinga! Today's just day 73 #TDIOwnersUnite

Coming up on the 3 month club now.

My lawyer from claims council can't even get VW to answer to why my claim still does not have an offer. He contacted them on the 4th of Jan. Said he typically hears from VW's lawyers in 2 to 3 days. As of Friday the 13th, he said he still had not heard back and will be reaching back out to them Monday.

Email prepped to send out tomorrow. We shall see how that goes, it's only 3½ pages long.
A) That's too long, nobody's gonna read that.

B) Don't bother, I'm sure 1000 people have now done it (including me) with no result.

I wouldn't waste your time on the email. I sent one last week with no response. I am at step 15 since November 8.

Two Plus months.....been at step 15 since Nov 7th. Privately financed so I expected a longer wait than out right owned vehicles. I am hoping for an offer by March 7th, maybe turn in by April. Gave up trying to stretch original tires until the buyback when the wobble caused the tire sensors to trip. Got used ones last week that should be good for a couple months.

Quick update....miraculously got through on the claims phone line and they had tried to get a payoff amount 1/6 but called when the credit union was closed. At least i know my claim is not a figment of my imagination and it really does exist somewhere in the VW system.

Yeah, this is really starting to suck, but all I really did was copy/paste my notes and drop them a line. It certainly can't hurt, although yes, it probably was a waste of time (other than feeling good venting).

TDJ: @VW @vwcares @FTC Today starts week 3 of tweets day 74, sent you some #TDIBuyback #fanmail today for your reading pleasure. #TDIOwnersUnite

10/27/2016 - Documents submitted online
11/1/2016 - Documents marked Complete
12/13/2016 - Called support line, said all documents have been marked complete by VW and 3rd party, but no other information was available. I asked how much longer I should expect to wait based on completed documents 5 weeks prior. She said she didn't know, but thought I should hear something within 1-2 weeks based on my status (total BS).
1/10/2017 - Called to check on status. They told me it went to the buyback specialist on 12/28/16, which probably means I have another 2 weeks before I receive an offer.

Today, one day short of 11 weeks. WTH

Seem par for the course. Three months, two days from upload to offer, then another five weeks until first buyback. Hang in there, they'll get you.

Business day #45 and calendar day #70 (10 weeks) since my docs were approved. No offer.

I wish there was just about anything I could do to speed up this process.

The easiest way to speed up this process is to log off of this forum, disconnect from dieselgate for awhile, and live a normal productive life... until you're surprised by the next VWGOA email.

Nope, I can't do it either. :D

I have to check in periodically and make sure i'm not the only sucker stuck in the same spot.

I've got a headlight out, tires that were worn out in May, cracked windshield, A/C doesn't work and I am overdue for an oil change...get this car out of here!

Received last night...on it today

I received this email from VW Claims last night at 9:37. I have a loan with a credit union. This is next...still on step 15 on the portal, but, at least some communication. Let's see how long this takes now, but this helps!!! :)

"We are contacting you with an update on your claim status. There is only one remaining step before Volkswagen can extend an offer to you for your claim 160722619. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. must obtain the current outstanding payoff amount of your existing loan.

This information is needed to generate an offer letter for your review, and for validation purposes must come directly from your lender. Depending on the lender, the process may require your direct involvement.

If you would like to help make this process go faster, there are steps that you can take to help Volkswagen obtain your loan payoff amount. Please contact your lender and provide both verbal and written authorization for the release of payoff information to Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.

You should provide written consent in whatever form your lender requires, but if your lender requires written consent and does not have a preferred form, you may use the Financial Consent form, which is the form you provided to us during the claims process and can be found here.

We thank you for your patience as we continue to process claims.

Easier to be patient when remember that we arent dealing with one bureaucracy here, but many. And we are waiting on bureaucracies to interact with bureaucracies and time has new meaning when such things happen. Mountains crumble, fertile valleys change to arid desert, and Donatella Versace will look more and more like the crypt keeper dipped in bleach.

I received email this morning that my documents are complete (again) and they are now determining your eligibility and will inform you whether you are eligible to participate in the VW/Audi Diesel Emissions Settlement Program.

Hmm, that "prior registration" was just the same damn one that I already sent them, plus a bunch of paperwork showing when we bought the car from the dealer. When I work the same hours that the DMV is open, it's a bit tough to go and get a copy of something that shouldn't be needed (when our other car didn't require it, that's proof to me).

Sigh. TDJ still under review.

I got the same crap today. Business day #46 and they have the nerve to put "If you would like to help make this process go faster" in the email. You're $)(!*$@ing right I want it to go faster VW!

I guess I'll go to the bank tomorrow and do their job for them then call to follow-up. Good gravy.

I have not received an email regarding the payoff authorization request.

Also, just had to replace the tires over the weekend and changed the oil.

Now I am in no rush to receive the offer until the weather starts getting warmer since the AC crapped out a few months ago.

I hate waiting in line. that is what this feels like, the line is not moving, just keeps getting longer. I've still got about 1100 miles to go before the next mileage ticker clicks over so I have been driving the car on nice days, yes being careful and not taking any risks. I have a feeling once the line starts to move I will discover I am close to the corner only to discover another line to the next corner, and the next... Every so often someone drives by in a nice car, gee I want that one, oh wait, I have to sell the vw first...

called yesterday. they were very nice, said they were running 3 - 4 weeks behind. My docs were complete on Nov 16th. She said I should get an offer in another 3 - 4 weeks. Asked how she was being treated. She laughed and said people were pretty upset and sometimes taking it out on her. I doubt she is being paid enough.

Yeah, I was pretty pissed off about the process but I made it a point to be nice to the call center people when I called. I actually had conversations beyond just the topic of my claim with some of them; I think they appreciated being treated like an actual person.

Got my offer letter today. I've had my paperwork in since day 1 back in Sept...? My final reflection on being part of the two month club will draw from the wise words of Mark Twain..."“I'm glad I have been part of this club, partly because it was worth it, but mostly because I shall never have to do it again”. Peace Out and good luck to all of you...
