A big THANKS to Palouse for posting these 3 email addresses to email if you are having problems with the buyback. To make a long story short, I have had my documents uploaded for over 3 months not going anywhere. I had called the claim portal every week after I was told I should have offer sheet by November 14th. Kept getting the same run around oh you should have it next week Not. Emailed the lead counsel at Lieff, Cabraser Heirmann & Bernstein who emailed me back 1-7-17 and said she would get the status of my claim. A week later she had no update so I found this thread and wrote a nice letter addressed to the 3 above email addresses at 12:47 pm 1-16-17 and I received an update on my claim status at 6:00 pm from VWOA that same evening. Stating they had tried to reach my bank for a payoff that afternoon. But the bank was closed for MLK day and they would contact them the next day. Received my offer letter today at 5:55am, signed notarized and uploaded at 12:05 today, offer letter accepted 12:11 today and appointment scheduled for 2-10-17 at 12:28 today. The nightmare is over almost! After chats and calls to portal people didn't help (I'd been stuck at #15 since Nov 8) I called the lawyers. Lawyer said he'd help. 2-3 days later nothing, so yesterday I emailed a very nice and polite and factual email letter to the 3 top VW executives: mark.mcnabb@vw.com, robert.martell@vw.com, hinrich.woebcken@vw.com head of operations, head of communications, and CEO US, respectively.
By the 5 pm yesterday a senior assistant called me back and expedited my application. I got my approval letter minutes later. Today we completed the notary work and at 5 pm my senior assistant called back and within 5 minutes I was approved for buyback. Said she, "Fastest ever!"
OK, now time for a new Alltrack!
