Got offer letter this morning - dated for yesterday (same day as payoff was obtained from my financial). Already got it notarized and uploaded. Now to see how long it is for everything else to fall into place.

Docs submitted: 10/25
Docs to step 15: 11/4
Offer received: 1/4

Right? Maybe if enough of us do it we can get it trending? (wishful thinking)
Mine today: @VW @vwcares @FTC still waiting for my #tdibuyback - docs approved and no offer letter still. #TDIOwnersUnite 62 Days and counting...
It's definitely worth a shot, Green Hare!

Mid November for me (I think I was around 13th somewhere). Sent an email to counsel 2 days ago, one of them just got back to me, stated I needed to provide a claim number, which I did, hope to hear back from them soon. I will need to stop driving it soon as the tires are bald and inspection is due, will not put $800 of tires on a car only to give it back to VW with nearly new tires on it.

Now TDI-free, but there now is a 15 MB E250 BT in the driveway
Has been since early November for me as well. The Jetta is sentenced to the garage which prevents me from taking on any of the wife's special projects - which require the availability of an empty garage. And March will move the Jetta to a more lucrative mileage bracket. Drag on forever. I couldn't be happier.

days away from the 2 month club, less than a week now. 11/10
so has anyone tried contacting the court? seems like a better approach than complaining to the problem itself.

Oct. 20th - Documents uploaded
Nov. 22 - green check marks
Dec. 30th - email saying document incorrect?!?!
Jan. 4th - speak to the claims line and re uploaded the same document.

They have no idea why I got the documents incorrect email after having green check marks since Nov. 22nd.

all green check marks.
I call about every 5 business days.

Last call, I'm past VW, I'm past 3rd party auditor, I'm at draft offer stage... whatever that is... for the past... 19biz days.

I received an email from the class council yesterday. Said that VW snail mailed my Loan Payoff request to my financial institution on Dec. 12th. Called my bank yesterday afternoon, and they said they haven't seen anything.
Uploaded Docs- 10/12/16
Docs Approved- 11/4/16
Class Council said I went through auditor on 12/12/16 and loan payoff request snail mailed to financial institution.
It seems like for me, this process has hit every snag imaginable. I'd bet the letter is stuck in the bottom of a mail bag, or with Tom Hanks and a bunch of FedEx boxes on an island in the Pacific.

Here's a fun one.
So yesterday the settlement contact told me VW mailed my payoff request to my bank on 12/12.
I called the bank and they said they have not been contacted by VW.
So got on the settlement website and did online chat. After a 45min wait, how VW contacts banks, she said by email or phone. I asked about my situation and she said that VW tried to contact my bank on 12/12 but got no response. I even sent copies of my paperwork to the bank so they would have them on file.
What? So who is not telling the truth? VW? The lawyers? My bank? This is going beyond frustrating to the point of lunacy.

And just called the bank, and they got a payoff request from VW this morning. But the gal at VW didn't know that? I swear VW is fabricating things.

Pretty much the feeling I get every time I have called into the Claims line, honestly it would be nice if just one time, ONE TIME, to get someone on the phone with the ability to honestly answer any question that is asked...

Update: Got my acceptance/final offer letter today. Got it notarized and uploaded by this evening and by 9pm I got an email saying to choose my buyback date. Earliest date is mid-February though. Atleast there is an end in sight finally

Update: After the fiasco yesterday, I received my offer at 530 this morning. Got it notarized on my way to work this morning. Hopefully I'm not part of the 3 month club. Maybe shaking trees does actually work, because I doubt my offer letter delivery and the phone calls I made yesterday were coincidental. Squeaky wheels get greased.

Oh they are answering the questions, only the answers are just made up.
the first three times you get any day now, then they start with the delayed for various made up reasons. your signature was blurry, you didn't send your documents in order, one of the pages was upside down. now you are in the pre-draft of one of the outer circles of hell. Next week you will get the "we only have four qualified appraisers for you state and they are booked until June. But we are doing everything humanly possible." Sorry, I am not accepting that, I want superhuman speed on my 3 month deal which started in September and has 3 months to go.

SaltyCityMPGz--
Aside from attempting to speak with the hot mess of VW reps, who did you contact with class counsel? Just was wondering if there was a specific person you email/called? TIA

Made my weekly call to the Claims line today (still waiting on a reply from counsel since 12/23) and the rep asks me "did you get a call/email back from the escalation I see was opened last week?" Ah, no, if I did why would I call today? Rep was quite nice, opened a new ticket after speaking to her supervisor. Why they can't just push it along when they see the offer letter is in there, I don't know.

So, just got off the phone with claims yesterday and today. Yesterday the person tells me 7-10 days for an offer letter. Today I got an email back from the class counsel asking me if I was in the "3rd party audit stage", called back claims line and person on phone told me I was not. This leads me to believe I still got some waiting to do..

So I have an experiment going and we will see which wins lol I loaded my docs on my 2015 passat se on 12/20 and my Audi A3 premium plus sline on 10/25 let see which gets bought back first the early adopter or the late. I originally planned to keep the Passat till next summer but with the length of time the Audi was taking figured I may as well start the process and hope it gets turned back in by the summer.

Called yesterday [Docs approved 11/08]. I was in some other auditor phase, he spent about 3 minutes [awkwardly] typing up some "note to them" regarding my wait time. I'm sure that will really help...

The hate for VW continues to grow..

Told yesterday could be 60-90 days before I got an offer. Step #15 since Nov 10th.
I've had green check marks since 10/21. I call daily and get a different answer every time. I called 3 weeks ago and one of the reps was able to see my offer letter in their system. She opened it up and read the whole thing to me. She said it could take between 10 and 40 days to upload the letter that she was reading to the portal for me.

I called yesterday and a rep said that sometimes they decide to mail the offer letters instead of email, so mine is probably in the mail :D
