Turbo upgrade besides 17/22

Going to go a bit larger in my wagon. After a few year hiatus from TDIs it appears there may be better options for moderate upgrades. Not looking to go crazy with this like I did on my old golf and hoping not to start a war...but... Thoughts?

I have had good results with a GTB1756VRK. There is also the newer GTD with upgraded ceramic bearings that looks nice. Hmmm, might have to say goodbye to the ten year old 17/22!

Oem is gtd1752vrk with oem 8 blades 52mm billet comp wheel, so which 56mm wheel do you use ? 6+6 mfs ? 8 or 11 blades ? What about the trim ? Does it spool a bit later ?

I too am looking to upgrade to one of the newer turbos on my '05 Golf. The GTD1752vrk seems to be the most recommended.

Like others have mentioned the GTD1752VRK is the way to go nowadays.
