Definitely NOT for a Giulia 2.2 210ps.

It is KKK, so I expect weak shaft (slimmed down), nothingfor serious tuning. You shoul go GTD1752VRK way. How I already wrote: I don´t know about better turbocharger for 1,4-2,3l.
Yes, you are right I did some research and turbo 53039700457 it definitely is not for Gulia 2.2. Most likely would be turbo OE number: 55279544 or as you wrote GTD1752VRK. Garrett turbocharger 845210-0006, 845210-0010, 856473-0001. We made corrections on the website, sorry for inconvenience.

I have one of those gtc4088bknv and will update here with measurements when I take it apart.
The GTC4088BKNV 789500-5020S is a 11 blade compressor indusor 58,9mm, exdusor 88,36mm, superback, ported shroud A/R 0,60, rpm sensor, turbin 68,4mm exdusor 10 blade, it is a really heavy baster, somebody know the wiring diagram for the Rea autonator?
exhaust turbine in T5 två with holes and two with threads, out is 105mm v band, compressor house v band out 75mm, in 100mm with expanded front for house fitting with house clamp

normally find on cursor 9 engine, 8,7L, 2200rpm, 24 valves, 250/380/420/390/435kw

My experience. Sharan AUY. Photo of gauge to let you look at pedal response and boost rise. IMHO best possible turbocharger for 1,6-2,3 diesel used as daily. Capable for 235 hp on 8V PD.

The youtube video states VK but the question was around the VRK, so which turbo do you have bud, VRK or VK?

I'll save everyone else the legwork and post the google translate results here:

"Greetings. Has anyone installed a bigger gte30vzk turbo in a BMW bi turbo car as it was already mentioned here? I'm interested in starting up and whether the turbo is on ball bearings. I'm thinking of putting it in my Ibiza Cupra 1.9 TDI.
Thank you in advance."

Previous x40d's were V8s but BMW has taken to creative and confusing naming scheme so now it's nothing more than a single turbo "Twin Power" inline-6. What you most likely saw at the breakers was a GTB2260V. Nothing all that special about them in the day and age of sequential x35d/x50d and ball-bearing turbos used elsewhere. The 6-digit Garrett PN will help a lot, then you can cross reference it here or here.
It was a GTE30vz what I saw at the time ! Little did I know it’s the latest technology ball bearing turbo…6-7 years down the line I know what it was ! Impressive turbo though.

A "Z" style bearing type is still no Ball-bearing, like I have already posted on 4th of march. It's a simplified version of journal bearing with integrated thrust bearing surfaces within the radial journal bearing.

I thought it’s the ball bearing version in that ! So only the audi gtd2260vrk, Mercedes grb2060/2260vklr and BMW gtd1752vrk are the turbos with the ball bearing chra ? Thanks in advance !

The R means ballbearing on garrett turbos.

Seems like the database could do with an update.

Both BMW and Audi now use the GTE Series turbo.

Bmw in twin configuration 895024-5003S

Audi in single Rated in OEM configuration 342hp
059145873FQ

There may also be a new big boy turbo to try;

GTC4088VNK 51091017335 supposed to be 512hp in OEM configuration.

Maybe someone could shed some more light? Ryanp?
Didn't take it apart to measure turbine, but GTE2260vz is 47.5mm CW inducer 60mm exducer with 64mm ET and OE anti-surge.
Have running on CUAA, and so far very promising.

I have to correct you a little bit.

If you are talking about the Audi unit, it's not titanium compressor wheel.

The different colour of the compressor wheel is due to a special coating to prevent EGR particles sticking onto the blades, as these cars have high- and low pressure EGR, where the low pressure EG is directed into the compressor inlet.

The exhaust housing (hot side) is not water cooled, but has a thermal insulation jacket.

The bearing housing is watercooled.

The turbine wheel is made fromMAR247 to withstand higher EGT, like seen on BMW GTD1752VRK.

The compressor housing has water jackets, BUT in OE application, there is no seperate cooling system, so basically it is flown through with normal engine coolant, more or less acting like compressor "heater" up to a certain point where the T2 exceeds the engine coolant temperature, like seen on some BMW R2S systems.

Regarding the Garrett nameplate designations, they are unfortunatelysometimes misleading, or sometimes even plain wrong.

There Are GTB2260VK turbos out there which come with a "GTB1" stamp on the nameplate, there are GTA17 turbos out there wichcome with a GT15 on the name plate and so on. So dont take theses designationsto serious.

However, the 059145873FQ has been superseeded, the old Garrett number was 896758- and had the GTD2263VZK designation, whereas the new number 906551- had the GTE2260V designation.
Which does not mean that they are also correctly stamped on the nameplate ;-)

I don’t know Alex, I have 4-5 turbos with titanium compressor wheels and they look the same ! S300v, a gtb2260vk hybrid which I made over 10-12 years ago, this gte turbo and a bw200v also with a titanium compressor wheel...also I i weld titanium alloys on a monthly basis so I know how they look like but you might be right on your statements. I will try and score the wheel and see if it looks like a coating...thanks for your input !
