Turbo Replacement?

After a quarter-million miles, my turbo has gone out and I'm wondering if most of you guys just replace w/ the stock brand (not sure what brand that is) or go with something "upgraded" since you're in there anyway?

I know when my other car had an engine replacement under warranty a few years ago, the dealership replaced the turbo with one from Xman, but they were giving me the impression that the Xman brand was stock on the B7 Passats (although I can't confirm that anywhere).

What say you: "Upgrade" or just go back in with stock?

I had the turbo replaced by the dealer, only lasted 18k miles.

I've upgraded to the CR170 Hybrid from xman's and tuned to stage 3 with a 4 bar map sensor.

I love having torque at high mph. Smiles per gallon.

Mine went out ar 240k. Swapped to a cr170 turbo Stage 3. 4 bar tune
