Sorry about that! Better now?Your pictures don't work.
Awesome! I fixed my mistake in the other thread discussing turbo part numbers, as well as in my post about my wire-chafing fix.Yup.
If any of you see anything different and/or changed for the 2014 BV40 number plate, let us know.
First, I have encouraged a friend of mine to register and log his recent (Last Sunday) 0005 turbo failure on the failure thread. He has a 2013, currently in the shop waiting for a replacement Turbo and Intercooler.
He communicated that he received word from the service mgr., that the new turbo is P/N VW03L-253-056-QX. I haven't been able to find this P/N in any searches (maybe I missed it). So I have asked him to get the full serial plate info including the S/N and B/W numbers once his new Turbo arrives. Hopefully he decides to register and log the info himself. But I am curious as to the "X" designation in the part number and if that designates any changes from the 0020... I'll post when I know more. [FONT="]

Thanks, I will pass that on!The "X" designates re-manufactured. IMO, I'd be pushing VW for a brand new turbo vice a re-manufactured one.
That is the correct part number for the replacement turbocharger.First, I have encouraged a friend of mine to register and log his recent (Last Sunday) 0005 turbo failure on the failure thread. He has a 2013, currently in the shop waiting for a replacement Turbo and Intercooler.

OK. So is it re-manufactured or new? That is the correct part number for the replacement turbocharger.
With the manufacturer date of 6/16/2014, I'd bet the 0020 is still the current turbo.Seems the 0020 is still the latest. Anyone have a turbo version later than 0020?
Wait...2014 TDI

700 miles - no issues

It looks like V50 or V500?Wait...
What exactly is that after the "Q" in your part #?
All the previous 0020 turbos haven't had anything after the Q in their part number. Yours is different.
What does this new part # mean? No clue. Just something I noticed...
Thanks for sharing!

Ouch, Friday the 13th Build Date... And no V#, Wow you'd best change your oil every 5000-7000 miles to be certain you're safe...Its another revision for sure, my June 13 build 0020 has no V number, so something was once again updated. Yay
I'm going to look again at my 13/0005 turbo tag, maybe there's more symbols, the rest of the tag is obscured by the black sensor in my pics ...The "V500" notation isn't anything new but I don't know what it designates either. My "0005" in my '13 has "V500" at the end of the part number.
2013, it was built on June 19th- I think it was a Tuesday Post #77 back on page 6Ouch, Friday the 13th Build Date... And no V#, Wow you'd best change your oil every 5000-7000 miles to be certain you're safe...
