TURBO: Part Numbers & Build Dates [data collection thread for all members]

I dont know how in the world you guys are getting the numbers let alone pictures off these plates. Getting old is HELL!

I posted a question about this over in the discussion thread (which I assume is why you bought it up here) I wasn't sure if I should have posted it here or not. Sorry if I should have posted the question here. Sometimes it not so clear as to the difference b/t the discussion and data threads.

I'd like to keep discussion of anything on this subject in the discussion thread, and data only in the data threads (one for general part numbers and build dates, and the other for failure reports). It's very difficult to mine data when it's scattered around with a bunch of discussion. It's also difficult to follow the discussion when it's taking place across several threads.

I seem to have the earliest build date so far, 09/2011 and I can't get a good picture of the blue tag.

I didn't want to start a new thread but I have a handwritten note on the top of where the plate is and does anyone have suggestions why there would be tool marks on the left like something was filed down?

I disconnected engine breather to oil separator (actually it’s easy when it’s still new car, I felt so good after that the having new car hahaha), move the end of it with electrical connector on side and took couple pictures. Then at home I edited by zooming on tag, safe. That's all.

No "Vxxx" number.

I looked around for this kind spot where it could those number and didn't find anything. I found only another number on round silver surface (i think its turbo itself) that point to the engine.

Could you please post the exact day of manufacture? Yours is the first V120 I've seen with build date of 9/2012. Mine was also built in September but I have a V150. Would like to narrow down when the change from V120 to V150 may have happened.

Let the record show that the B7's engine is different from the NMS's engine (CFFB vs CKRA).

That has still not been nailed down...

I think it would be safe to assume that the V500 is the updated version that is replacing the V120 and V150.
Whether it too suffers from the same malady remains to be seen; they have undoubtedly experienced far fewer miles to date than their earlier counterparts
