Turbo Issues

My turbo output intermittently fails around 3K rpm. Most of the time, it functions without any issues. I'm very familiar with the limp mode, and this doesn't fit the symptoms I have experienced when limp mode was the cause.

I had the actuator replaced last June.

not much to go in here. Here's some shots in the dark:

Assuming it is "actually" something to do with the turbo:

vacuum lines not routed near hot exhaust pipes

intake hose not collapsing
other intake restriction

or maybe....


every mod or tune that overdrives the IP positioner into "warp field collapse"

bad MAF

IP wearing out or cold start valve plugged/etched resulting on no timing advance at high rpm, case regulating valve

Timing off a tooth or cam/crank timing off

maybe you could give us more to work with. Smoke? power? throttle response? dash warning lights? noises? done any logs? gages? what makes you think it's the turbo
