Turbo Identification

Hello,
I was hoping to have a little advice on how to identify the turbo on my car without taking it off. I can see that it’s a Garrett brand but I’m not sure where to look for a model number or something as it’s pretty tight back there. (I was told it’s a bigger turbo but I need to verify it.) (2004 Jetta BEW)

i also have a picture of that helps at all but i can only see the end of the Garrett logo and two circles with the numbers “18, 7” and “21” inside them. the 18 is above the 7 in the first circle.

A 'bigger turbo' that is also a Garrett on a BEW could be a VNT-17. The original was a small Borg Warner KP-39 model.

These were sold as Garrett gt-1749vb, aka VNT-17.
