Transmission replacement How-To?

Is there a How-To guide for transmission replacement for A4-series 5-speed ?

In particular, I'm looking for any special tools that are needed...

The clutch replacement procedure should be about 120% of what you need to do. Look in the How-Tos thread of TDI 101.

Only special tools I can think of would be triple square bits for the axle bolts. Everything else is pretty common.
