My numbers don't match.
My ABS controller is 1J0 614 417 C
The hydro unit is: 1C0 907 379 D
On the forum above you posted: 1J0 614 417D as the ABS controller part number. Is there a difference between C and D?
ETKA shows is 1J0 614 417 C for all Jetta sedans (00-03) and C for Jetta Wagons within a specific VIN range (00-02), and is 1J0 614 417 D for the other. It also specifies 1C0 907 379 D only for 03s.
Thank you for the response!turbocharged798 said:Yes, that should work fine. It's a MK60 ASR/EDL/ABS unit.
If your car has a can-bus cluster, than the signal for the light goes over that. If its is not can, than it uses the wire. That is why I love this forum! From debates are coming good ideeas. So now I just have to pulse 12 v from fuse 9 to the wire going from pin 15 of ABS unit to pin T32/14 of instrument cluster and...that's it ( wire that it seems that is already there, because the ASR check light is coming on each time I switch ignition ON).
