Touareg Rear Hatch Operation - hate it

So I have a 2014 TDI RLine......when its running, in park, you cant open the rear hatch?

There must be a setting so you dont have to shut the engine off to open?

My 2014 Lux lets me do it.

I think there's an option in the RNS-850 somewhere to lock or unlock the rear hatch independently. See if hitting the unlock button once or twice prior to trying to open works.

All the doors have to be unlocked to open the hatch from outside the car.. try hitting the unlock button before using the exterior hatch release, or just use the button inside on the door (?)
