Wow, are all you Ontarians this angry????? Relax already ......... Geez.
Sounds like you need to relax when you can't tell our banter apart from truly angry posts ;)

Bill knows I was joking, and I know he was joking. I also know Mo was joking because it ties back to something else we previously joked about elsewhere. No harm, no foul! :)

I resent that
I've had plenty of douchebag males nearly hit me. Something about not knowing to check their mirrors and blind spots when changing lanes. I guess it's not "cool" enough for a dude ;)

I had some douchebag male hit the truck tonight at Sunoco on Red Maple. The used douchebag then drove off.

Thinks it's time for a new truck...3 hit and runs, one rear-end and one lost axle.... in a year.

I've been living in Toronto for 10 years now and my biggest issue is with immigrant drivers. Don't worry I'm not bashing immigrants...just those who think that they can drive in Canada like they did back home, which if you've been to any Asian country or have seen pictures of their streets...it's a big friggin free for all!
I see two problems.
1) Immigrant drivers are taught by immigrant drivers who teach students to drive in ways that are not according to our moral, lawful standards.
2) It's the "ME" mentality. If you try and back into a spot at Pacific Mall, you will have your spot stollen as you pull forward and shift into reverse by a lowered civic with a carbon fibre hood and wing. The guy will get out give you the finger and walk away whilst setting his proximity alarm.

I drive a lifted Jeep (as well) and was with a buddy who hooked up a 3 series Bimmer to his back back bumper and dragged it out of the spot and left it there for doing just that. Hows that for redneck!

10 years in Toronto, makes you a newcomer in my book!!! You have not seen the change in drivers that I have in Toronto.

Hate to tell you, while I may agree with some points you make, but people in Ontario generally drive like I "poop". (Being polite)

I have seen Asian and maybe West Indian, hard to tell where some are from, driving on the WRONG side of the street.

But when I return from my winter trip, as soon as I get on the 401 in Windsor I can tell the difference in driving habits and styles.

You can see it in drivers who are all colors and persuasions, male and female. Just yesterday a "white" idiot came out of a shopping center cutting me off and then 200 meters later has to hammer the brakes to make a right turn. He could have waited for a proper break in traffic.

I am sure OhMagoo being a professional driver sees more of it every day than any of the rest of us.

Best vehical for Toronto driving i ever had was a 79 ford pick-up that had been t-boned. The side had been pushed in two feet, i punched a hole in the side then hooked it up to a comealong and a tree, started cranking and bashed it out with a sledge hammer then left it.
You never seen so many curtious drivers when i signaled for a lane change.

Even my neighbours don't know how to drive. The lady accross the street back into to our old red Jetta with her husbands F-150 pickup truck. According to her It wasn't her fault though you see, it's his . He doesn't have backup sensors on his truck so she didn't know that our poor old red jetta was parked on the street when she was backing it up. Another trip to the auto-wrecker for a mk-3 passenger side headlight bracket now awaits ...

That makes it the second time she has backed into one of our vehicles

I honestly don't know why everyone has this obsession with backing OUT of a parking spot, especially if backing is not one's Forté ...

The problem isn't all of Ontario, it is GTA and southern Ontario-centre, Jetta Pilot. I feel the difference as soon as the 401 goes from two lanes to three as I'm approaching the GTA from Ottawa. Terrible, terrible driving.

That's when the out-of-towners panic. Too many lanes, exits, collectors/express......... pure panic. You can see that they cannot look ahead, and know where they are going. A far cry from their normal bumper-to-bumper traffic jam at their local Tim's drive-thru.

I work with some people that refuse to go past Milton. They may go as far as Pearson airport for a flight out once in a while by taxi.

I'm not talking about any panicky driving, I'm talking rude, arrogant, and selfish driving. The dangerous weaving, not letting anyone in, not signaling or shoulder checking, taking up the left lane when you're not passing just because you want to sit in it, cutting people off, etc. That kind of driving. Drive around Eastern Ontario for a while and you'll notice the different next time you approach Toronto.

And there is no panic yet when it goes from two lanes to three around Cobourg. Still far away from the Collectors.
