Anyone done this? I have the HD suspension kit installed sold at IDparts.com. The issue is the shocks are OE length (or at least that's what I've been told), so I have issues of them reaching their extended length regularly.
I reached out to Bilstein with part number for my car and part numbers for a 2010 Tiguan.
Tiguan shocks 1.81" longer extended and 0.55" longer compressed.
The mounts are the same, but say they are 20-25% firmer than their same shock for a stock JSW. The valving is the only part that give me pause.

From the extended/ompressed lengths you stated, you should have NO "issues of them reaching their extended length regularly" but just the opposite. As you say the Tiguan shock extends 1.18" further than the JSW??

I gained 1.25" of lift when I did the kit, so I don't think the .55" longer in the compressed state would be an issue. Am I understanding your comment correctly?

I am more worried about the stiffness. Car gained some stiffness with the new suspension (stiffer springs I imagine) but it's still fairly comfortable to drive. I can deal with a little more harshness, but not a lot.

O.k. I think you're saying your concerned the stock length shocks, when fully extended will max oùt with the added 1.25" ride height

And furthermore post #1 stated Tiguan shocks have 1.18" longer extended measurement with ,55" less bottoming travel. I would think this plus the stiffer added 1,25 ride height would really synchronize well

It's a long thread. There's a cluster of a handful of pages will all the info you need to make your choice.

That's how I narrowed down my options, anyways.
