Is the N75 suppose to tick all the time? I replaced most of my vacuum hoses (including the one in the ECM) today and I am still getting a CEL, could the ticking N75 be the ultimate culprit?

I believe you still have to "clear" the CEL, using Vag Com, even after changing out the vacuum hoses. My CEL went away eventually, after chanigng out my hoses, never to return.

I've read on these forums that 5 starts will clear the CEL, I am way beyond that point.
I've read on these forums lots of stuff that isn't true.

Heck, I've Written stuff on these forums that isn't true.

Get it cleared so that you know for sure if it's still live or not.

N75s tick. Nature of the beastie. On an A3/B4 car, it may be tired and about to give up the ghost.

CEL will have to be cleared. Some of the CELs will allow the light to go out eventually, some won't.

Well, I cleared the code but a P0605 CEL came back after a 20 minute drive.

I replaced the hose inside the ECM, the hose coming out of the ECM, and basically every hose that connects to the N75.
