The hoonigans this vs that needs some tdi representation. It would be awesome to see a tdi jetta or golf go on this show and beat some honda or v8. It would be even better if it had a club tdi plate cover and was somewhat community funded. Has the community every looked at doing something like this?

That would be pretty cool, but something with the v6, or even a v10 toureg, would probably be best to have on that show lol. The 4 cyls can make good power but I feel like any real 4 cyl gas build will probably beat them on the high end. Feel free to disagree, thats just an opinion, if they try to keep the build costs similar, I think the TDI has a great shot though.

Maybe but there is a 340hp bora I saw on YouTube and that thing looks like it hauls in the top end. I personally find my tdi is way quicker in the top end than any of my gassers due to the awesome tq curve.

That is true, I think I may have seen that car and forgot about it, we might have a better shot than I originally thought lol.

I bet you could squeeze the 3.0 tdi in a Passat 4 Motion. Then that would be wild.

You for sure could, had a Q7, it would fit. Even though it would be pretty much an A6 3.0 at that point, it would still be extremely fast and fun, buddy of mine that recently went to germany got a '06 A6 wagen, said it holds 120mph on cruise like it is nothing.

It is, we didnt get it that year I dont think, but I think '06 may have been the first gen 3.0 TDI, I recall doing some research for him and I think his was like gen 1 second revision or something, I didnt look hard enough to retain that knowledge lol.

Yeah a lot of young guys around here drive JDM stuff as it's cheaper and fun. You can get left hand drive stuff out of japan too. Lots of BMW's and such.
