We can't tell you very much about it here, for the information you probably want, # owners, miles, history I think, you'll need to get a VIN check from one of the typical providers. Even then though what you get isn't all that informative or accurate, you have to interpret what the report says a little.

If you want to know how the car was equipped from the factory take a look in the trunk around the tire well for the build decal, that will have codes for what options the car came with. You already know that it has the 1Z engine and likely has the CTN transmission, but the option codes can be informative too.

not sure if it still works, but make a "listing" for your car in ebaymotors with a ridiculous reserve and I believe they still give you a free carfax report with the listing (which is also free).

That's a 0 toward the end, not the letter O. \

I can tell you it was built on 11-18-1995, and first sold on 12-30-1995 (nice xmas present). It was sold at Devon Hill Motors in Devon, PA. The first owner lived in Merion Station, PA. It had it's ignition switch replaced on ecember 9, 2014 (as a recall).

That's all I got.

NOT ACTUAL MILES

Looks like the cluster got replaced, like many B4s did. It was in PA and NJ before coming to Alaska.

I do not believe that there is much more information available publicly from your VIN.
A VW dealer could (if they wanted to) run your VIN and tell you about any maintenance and recalls that was performed at a VW dealership.
A CarFax report (or similar) could tell you something about previous owners and accidents, but this information is copyrighted and illegal to post here.

In other words, you are not likely to get much more info here (or for free) based just on your VIN. Is there something specific you are trying to learn?

Have Fun!

I refer you back to post #3

All the stuff that's been posted is stuff everyone knew, because it was a tdi, except for the couple of blips from the people with access to the dealership maintenance systems.

You need to get a carfax to get more about where it went and when, and how many people owned it etc.
