Hey there. I have a 2012 Jetta. I’m starting to get codes about the diesel needing to be regen. I was wondering if a tune kit would be better. Might get better fuel mileage too. I have 190000 km or like 120k miles. Got the timing belt changed at 123000km. What are my options? Love my car and would love better mileage. Can I get some suggestions?

Well you could Regen it
Do you have emissions testing where you live you can do a DPF delete and get it tuned out

Do you have any brand recommendations?

I have done 3 2011-2013 jettas/passats with the delete.. me and customers could not be happier! Easy to do and worth the expense..

I installed the rawtech kit last spring, 2013 with DSG, and did several posts about the results here:

Much of the info on cost is likely outdated. However, a year later ,no issues and getting 50+ MPG regularly with snow tires and temps in the 30's and 40's. Got just over 49 overall on my commute today with temps around freezing and slushy snow! So, I guess one could say it has improved my MPGs some.
