Has the parting out process been completed? I need some spare parts.

Just so it is clear, I'm running the over/under here, not Dave, and unmarked $1, $5, $10, and/or $20 bills can be mailed directly to me. Make sure they are UNMARKED, please.

If I can't figure out how to run the over/under properly -- as I have really no knowledge of gambling -- short of heads I win / tails you lose, I'll turn this into a 50/50 pot. I get 50%, the winner gets 50% -- I believe that constitutes what is typically referred to as a win-win situation.

So, send money!!

Rumor has it that some of you are sending your money to Dave and not to me. DON'T DO THIS!! The money will just disappear, and you will not be entered into the pool or pot. Send the money to ME, no matter what Dave tells you . . .

I never knew LCR was a Nigerian prince?!?!
So you're saying I can get money without bothering to run the pool. I never thought of that . . .

I know, I can say that Dave is the exiled Prime Minister of Industrial Finance, and that the $280 million is hidden in the engine block. At this rate, there's no fear of Rich ever disassembling the car that far, so after you put up a small good faith deposit of 10%, I just need you to go over to Fix-Um Haus, and pick up the cash. It's wedged between the flywheel and the back of the block, except for the package that's secured to the inside of the block casting just below the edge of the cylinder bores.

Are Rich and my machineshop dude is frickin cahoots together? Who can get their car the slowest? Will you take this bet DOK?

Can't get my machineshop dude to even take a look at my pistons... Sounds like you are wayyyyyyyyy ahead of me DOK. Did Rich give you an idea of the approximate year you should get your car back?

Maybe we need to start some kind of a support group?

I'm in, but we'll need a catchy name. Maybe 'Fixum-This Year Haus' Survivors Support Group. Maybe there are better suggestions from other survivors out there?

Hello, my name is LCR, and Rich built my [hack, cough, wheeze, chortle, choke, gasp, stonewall] unobtrusive little stock Jetta in record time . . .

And that only took a year. I'll probably buy another TDI before the Jetta is finished

Are you gonna make it strictly a track car or do you intend drive it on the road? Sounds like it's gonna be a very sure and direct way for you to head to jail after it's completed... LOL .... My advice... keep it as a track car only and drive it the DOK way on the track only ;)

If I only had time/funds for a dedicated track car, that would surely be fun. We've decided to keep the compression closer to the 19.5:1, boost @ 36psi, new front and rear fenders, custom paint, sans roll cage. Just a basic TDI.
Unfortunately, Richard is extremely busy, I'm on the back burner in another state. So until the end of summer, when I'm dropped off on Rich's front porch with nothing but a pair of overalls and flip flops, I'll be sharing a car with the wife.

Rich is a busy guy and will not undertake any new custom engine builds, until dok's car is complete, broken in and delivered to dok.

Thank you.

LOL... are you seriously going sans roll cage with this beast? After What I heard about your driving... I would add some reinforcement all around ... :D

Another suggestion DOK ...don't waste too much money on new front and rear fenders & custom paint... That shiny new paint and dent free fenders might not last very long on the track.... spend the $ on a good ROPS...

"Hello ... my name is DOK and It's been over 11 months and 22 days since I drove my TDI fast... I am powerless the high torque rush I feel when I step on the go pedal .... I can't help myself when I roll up to a rice burner or beemer... I jut gotta lettem have some black smoke... I have relinquished my fate to the higher power of my Guru .. I have survived this journey once and I can survive it again....... one day at the time... without my car... "

"One day at a time... without my car..." my mantra

Wasn't thinking, roll cage back in. Hey Rich, since we've got the time, roll cage, paint job, then drop in da engine. The water/Meth will be added in Sacramento on the 12 hr. run back to L.A.(need to take a few 30 minute breaks).

Duh... You have to at least be able to drive your car to keep up.
If I was only as gifted as you, my friend. Hope to see you once the Schultz gets off his arse.

Trying to keep up with anything tends to be a hopeless battle when it comes to ego's

They'll be up for sale as soon as Rich gets them from Dave. Put your order in before I do -- Dave only ordered ONE set . . .
Keep digging that knife in deeper and deeper! Mounts will be in my possession til the engine is done(not holding my breath this time). I'll fly up, install and drive off into the sunset. Though, no one behind will see the sun setting, due to the thick clouds of soot, like Al's car!
