Took a trip to Wolfsburg to the autostadt and noticed they had a mK6.5 jetta. Took a couple of pics. Had every Euro VW model in there, including the newest passat...WOW as nice as an audi.

I have some more but this internet is slow. The price on that Jetta was 28,000 euros.

From what I understand its a host of improvements to help in fuel economy and efficiency.

I rented a Bluemotion Golf TDI in France a bit back. I don't know all the differences, but it was a much nicer car than the ones we get here. Th biggest difference was the gauge cluster, which was full color like the one in the picture above... and the 1.4L engine which was peppy but still gave me something like 50mpg, which was impressive considering I was flogging it up and down mountains, hardly any freeway at all.

Another pic so we can all dream and then write nasty letters to VW for not getting their better diesel engines CARB approved.

The smaller BlueTec engines are also less expensive in most countries. Just about every car over there was a stick shift too. I can only imagine how the Germans perceive the average American car buyer...
